Come celebrate Hispanic Teacher Appreciation Day, Saturday, May 20th, from 6-8pm, at Central Art Station!
The Hispanic Heritage Association of Northwest Louisiana (HHANWLA) is proud to recognize the hard work, social impact, and lasting legacy of our Hispanic teachers, as they shape our children’s education.
Invited to Hispanic Teacher Appreciation Day are all Hispanic teachers, Spanish language instructors, and people in the education sector who are of Hispanic heritage, and strive to improve Shreveport-Bossier’s quality of education. As the number of Hispanic teachers in our public and private schools grow, we see the rise of highly qualified and professional teachers from foreign countries, who come to the United States to accept the demanding challenge of educating our children.
Many of these teachers leave their home countries for extended periods, and venture into
